What is an RFP?
Take a read through the articles listed below, then answer the following questions. Present your answers in an HTML document and post a link to the page from our Wiki's RFP page.
- What does RFP stand for?
- Define and explain what an RFP is.
- What is an RFQ and how is it different from an RFP?
- What is an RFI and how is it different from an RFP?
- What kind of information should an RFP include? Try to include at least 10 items in your answer.

Vendor Response
As a "vendor", responding successfully to an RFP will get you to the next step in the contract process. What do you need to do to make your response successful? Read through the articles listed below and answer the following questions. Present your answers in an HTML document and post a link to your page from our Wiki's Vendor Response page.
- What answers must you provide in your response?
- What are some important things you might want to do before responding?
- Are there alternatives to a formal RFP response? If so, what are they and when can you use them?
- Can you propose anything not originally called for in the RFP?

RFP Response Teams
For this project we'll divide into teams of three or four. The best combination of skills would be:
- One project manager, communicator
- One designer
- One programmer/coder
These responsibilities do not have to be completely divided, but a good combination of the three is probably best for a complete team.
